My Family

It only seems appropriate to start by introducing those who make my life so rich:

Tim- My best friend for over a decade now.  He is a truly selfless husband and father and a wonderful spiritual leader for our family.  I am so grateful that his hard work allows me to be home with our children. He is easygoing and extremely energetic, and always rolls with whatever comes our way.  Perhaps one of my favorite qualities about him though, is that he knows no stranger.  He is quick to form friendships, even unlikely ones.
Gabriel (5)- Gabriel is in many ways the stereotypical firstborn.  He is high intensity, very analytical, extremely extroverted (like his Dad) and a natural leader (or as his sisters might say, a little bossy).  He has a strong sense of right and wrong and sees the world as very black and white.  He has a VERY inquisitive mind, and keeps me on my toes.  I often find myself turning to the Bible or googling to find an answer for his surprising questions.  He is also, however, very nurturing and protective of those he loves.

Maria (4)- Maria is the perfect couterpart to her brother.  She has an equally busy mind, but instead of asking for an answer, she makes one up for herself:)  She is easy going and self-entertaining and loves to make others laugh.  She has a vivid imagination and is very creative.  There is always a little bit of drama, a whole lot of sillyness, and even more joy when Maria is around.  Maria is the little mama in our family, and can often be found "taking care" of one of her siblings.

Julia (2)-Julia is our firecracker.  She is more introverted and slower to come out of her shell.  That said, once you enter her circle of trust she is deeply loyal and very affectionate.  She loves to be wild and adventurous and nothing excites her more than outings to new places.  She is also very opinionated one way or the other:  she either LOVES something or she profoundly dislikes its.  She is old beyond her years, which may come from the fact that she is always watching and observing her siblings intently.

Luke (2months)- Luke is our newest blessing.  Time will tell what his personality will be, but thus far, he is a calm, happy, snuggler.  He smiles easily and is always content when he is being held or laying in the midst of everyone.  He does not like to be alone :)
